Shaq to Cleveland?

(Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images/Courtesy of ESPN)
I cannot believe this is actually happening! Cleveland this has got to be one of your worst front office moves you have ever made. Why would a team who has such an encouraged future resort to this kind of solution? Shaq is a no, I repeat no good solution to help the Cavs and I really hope this is no substitute for any other future decisions. I understand that this trade is a short-term solution, but what I am worried about is what this will do to the Cavs mentally. Shaq has pulled every off-court stunt from enrolling at Syracuse to racing on the racetrack in order to sucker in a team to sign him as if his fallout of production in Phoenix last season had disappeared. Cleveland was dumb enough to take the bait! Phoenix won 9 fewer games this season with Shaq in the lineup and you now have two aging centers neither better than the other. I was expecting Cleveland to make a move for a younger and more energetic player. If this makes LeBron happy then he just as insane as Danny Ferry. Mike Brown just got a sigh of relief because if Cleveland doesn't make the playoffs next season, he knows it wont be his fault. If you are wondering why the Cavs have never won an NBA Championship, look no further than their most recent trade.

Lakers Win the NBA Finals

(AP Photo/David J. Phillip/Courtesy of ESPN)

First off I want to say I am sorry for this delayed posted. I know many of my devoted Mearabloggers were disappointed with my uncharacteristic tardiness when it came to this article; it just took me a while to climb down this particular high horse. Anyway we learned some things with this Finals win; Kobe doesn't need Shaq, Phils still got it, Pau's got POW, and Shaq needs a team; Oh sorry thats a whole different post... Back to the Finals, we learned things about the Magic; we learned that they are a team to be reckoned with in the East now and not just a team who everyone has to put behind Boston and Cleveland because they are the next best team, they showed they belong. Congrats to Kobe, Phil, and the Lakers for their triumph. But like the NBA season, I will be back and I will be comparing LeBron to Kobe and the Lakers to the Cavs, cause thats what I do. Lakers (and TJ) enjoy it while it lasts because it wont be long until the season starts again.
